LMDC was established in 1989 to support the development of business enterprises through the activation of its ability for organizational performance development and maximizing the role of the human portfolio in public, governmental and private sectors, for the purpose of improving business climate in order to achieve the objectives of social and economic reform policies in Egypt.
Since its inception in 1989 - and over the course of its operations - LMDC had focused on developing human resources to strengthen management as well as the optimal use of business resources. In this regard, LMDC focused on managerial and leadership skills as an essential factor to support business organizations competitiveness not only at the domestic level but also at the level of the Arab region as a whole.
Egypt built a free economic policy since the late 80's and then grew the need to change Egypt's economic philosophy.
Therefore, the Centre for Leadership Development was established in 1989 and started from where other similar centers ended. The Centre has been established primarily to assist Egyptian and Arab business organizations to keep up with the new economic philosophy during the transition phase.
